a few notes to catch up

Six more days until the 5K, and I can barely run a mile! I am not nearly as far along with this "training" as I would like to be, but I have decided to stick it out even if I walk the other two miles.

Randy and Nancy were here two weeks ago, and we had an amazing time with them. They are a great encouragement to us, and I love to see their passion for God's people growing in their relationships with Him.

Our church just celebrated its two year birthday! Today was an amazing time of prayer, meditation, celebration, and fellowship. It was great to spend so much time focused on what Christ has done for us to bring us into God's Family, what has been done for this particulary section of the family, and what he is doing in other places across the US and around the world. I was just hit with the realization of how 'inactive' I have become in this. I have been living in my own little world of work and home and friends and forgetting that I am a part of a much greater world--the Kingdom of the one true God. How great it is that he longs for us to know him, to be truly satisfied and joyful in him like we can be in no other!
